Portfolio 2022 - First Wave

The 2022 sessions were so productive and yielded such a high volume of quality photos that I had to split the year into two separate galleries. This year marked a significant technical evolution as I added two fast prime lenses to my kit: the Samyang 24mm f/1.8 and the Samyang 45mm f/1.8.

The wider apertures allowed me to capture much more ambient light, drastically reducing ISO noise. More importantly, the 45mm introduced a different approach to composing a landscape photo with a subject, rather than shooting a standard portrait. Placing the camera further away compressed the background, completely altering the perspective and making the natural environments far more interesting within the frame.
