What does Sublument mean?

I'm often asked about the name of my light painting photography project, Sublument. People are curious about the meaning and how I came up with it. It's a great question and one that I enjoy answering. Sublument is a combination of two words - "sublime" and "element." Combined, they represent the core concepts behind my work - capturing the beauty of the world around us, while also highlighting the elements that make up those scenes.

It's a simple but powerful idea and one that has resonated with people from all over the world. Thanks for taking an interest in my work - I hope you enjoy learning more about it!

Sublument is a made-up word that I came up with to describe my light-painting photography project

My light-painting photography project, which I have dubbed ‘Sublument’, is an incredibly unique and fun way to express my creativity through the camera lens. It is a practice that enables me to capture stunning images of light displays against incredible landscapes and cityscapes.

Using different techniques such as motion trails created by spinning or waving light sources across my camera lens, as well as long exposure shots of various locations while shooting with sparklers and firework displays, I strive to create visually captivating works of art.

Each photograph represents a unique moment in time - one that cannot be reproduced easily - allowing viewers to appreciate the incredible complexity of this style of photography. Sublument is truly something extraordinary!
