Portfolio 2023

The 2023 season introduced drastic changes to my compositions because I started using a Sigma Art 20mm f/1.4 lens. While the massive aperture allowed for even more ambient light to enter the sensor, the extreme wide-angle focal length introduced noticeable optical distortion. It altered the perspective significantly, forcing me to rethink my framing. This setup sometimes caused the light painting tubes to overexpose, but it is an effect I genuinely like because it adds raw drama to the night scenes.

A standout moment of this year's portfolio was a collaboration with a talented breakdancer. We organized a session right on the shore, and my primary goal was trying to freeze his dynamic poses amidst the fluid motion of the long exposure shots.
